Lena Dunham and Stephen Fry go on the trail of family history in the witty, funny, poignant Treasure – an offbeat culture clash journey of two New Yorkers through post-socialist Poland.
Adapting Lily Brett’s semi-autobiographical novel Too Many Men, Julia Von Heinz’s follow-up to And Tomorrow the Entire World grapples with the intergenerational legacy of the Holocaust.
1991, after the fall of the Iron Curtain: American journalist Ruth (Dunham) and her bon vivant Dad Edek (Fry), a Holocaust survivor, go on a tour of Poland, including Warsaw, Krakow, Auschwitz and Łódź. Ruth wants to explore her roots; Edek has a more light-hearted agenda for the trip, and only when they visit his former family home does his attitude begin to change.
